I was raised in rural Ohio from a family of builders and farmers. My parents designed, built, and renovated multiple homes during my formative years and I took that construction and drawing knowledge to heart. I moved to Chicago in 2001 and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. For more than two decades since then I’ve worked for interior designers and architects across the Chicagoland area before launching my own firm in early 2025.

People note that I “light up” when I talk about the natural world and the plants I love. As an enthusiastic gardener for decades, I’ve learned in a hands-on way how to transform and manage urban landscapes of various sizes from apartments, to condos, to houses, and use them to enhance urban living.
